Ruth Marr has over 25 years of experience in both consulting and travel industries. With a M.Sc. in Plant Ecology came a consulting career in environmental issues, active transportation, public engagement and tourism. She does not just talk the theory of tourism - she acts on the reality of the travel business. Ruth co-founded and owned Randonnée Tours for 15 years, a leading self-guided adventure travel business with tours across Europe and North America. She has recently launched Rowing The World and The Rowing Concierge – a boutique travel company for rowers. She has authored two guidebooks, and serves on the national board for the Trans Canada Trail. Ruth has worked on several consulting projects linked to parks and protected areas, including most recently a pricing study for Parks Canada on their Iconic Northern Experiences.
